Broadstairs Food Festival - Festival History

The Broadstairs' Food Festival is a joint initiative between the Broadstairs & St Peters Chamber of Commerce, (C of C) and the Broadstairs Tourism & Leisure Association, (BTLA).

With their combined membership they represent over 110 businesses based in Broadstairs. Broadstairs already hosts first class events such as Folk Week and the Dickens Festival during the main holiday period as well as a number of successful smaller events

Building on the success of these, BTLA and C of C proposed the creation of a new, prestigious Broadstairs Food Festival.

The Festival will provide local traders, suppliers and producers of quality produce with a high visibility opportunity to promote their goods and businesses to local residents and visitors.

The Broadstairs Food Festival aims and objectives:

To host an annual, prestigious food & produce festival
To promote local produce, traders & producers
To extend the tourism season
To engage local residents & young people
To encourage the involvement of groups and organisations with health, food, and sustainable living in their remit

The Broadstairs Food Festival is managed under the auspices of Broadstairs Events Support Trust (BEST), a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC), working to support, and assist, local community events.
