Events during Festival Week - summary

Throughout the week,restaurants, cafes and bars will be offering a variety of options supporting the festival: discounts, feature wines and beers, Festival menus etc.
Look for the promotional posters in their windows for details.

The Festival ends with a 3 day Food Fayre on Victoria Gardens, Broadstairs.

Monday 28th September

The National Farmers' Union will bringing the Road show to Upton School, Edge End Road, Broadstairs. Children will be able to milk Annabel, the Road Show's life-size model cow, visit the friendly farm club web site as well as picking up some free goodies.

Go Cossack at the Barnaby Rudge, Albion Street, where Sergei Pachnine, accordionist, singer and entertainer, will be having a Russian night.

Free entry and free stroganoff using local produce. Music starts at 9pm.

Take time to enjoy the delights of Broadstairs. . try a coffee at one of the participating cafes, or choose your restaurant for the evening.

British, Indian, Mexican, Thai, Italian, Turkish and good old fish'n'chips: we have it all!

 

Thursday 1st October

Treat yourself to a Gourmet Dinner, hosted by Gavin Cox ofBurrow House guesthouse, Granville Road, Broadstairs.

5 courses plus accompanying wine. £50.00.
Select evening of eight diners.
Booking essential.

Friday 2nd October
Victoria Gardens

Book a table atHarvey's, Ramsgate, where Michelin-starred John Burton-Race will host the first food and wine matching event. Seasonal 3 course menu, with an accompanying glass of wine, £40 a head.

The focal point of the Festival is the 3 dayFood Fayre, Victoria Gardens, Broadstairs, featuring demonstrations, tastings and over 50 stalls of fresh locally sourced produce.

Miele will be demonstrating their new steam ovens atA J Ball and Sons, 92 High Street, at 11am and 1pm.

The Kitchen Theatre starts at midday in the Theatre Marquee on Victoria Gardens, with Mo Joslin from Farmhouse Kitchens.

Wander round the Food Fayre, stocking up on the excellent local food on offer.

The final day of the Food Fayre. Four more chefs demonstrate their skills in our Kitchen Theatre - details to follow shortly.
