Broadstairs Food Festival has announced the cancellation of its upcoming event in October due to the Coronavirus/Covid-19 pandemic
This has not been a decision taken lightly.
Various alternative ways of staging the festival were extensively explored.
However, steps needed to ensure distancing and hygiene measures, coupled with the loss of business sponsorship. means the festival is simply not financially viable.

Broadstairs Food Festival is self-funded, not-for-profit organisation, so our resources are slim and our reserves even slimmer.
Core costs such as pubic liability insurances, corporation and even cancelled event and staff need to be paid.
