Welcome to the Broadstairs Food Festival 2010

Throughout Festival Week there will be plenty of entertainment and food treats for all ages

New for this year is our Children's Festival which includes many activities within local schools, an I-Spy competition along the streets of Broadstairs and a Talent Show. Local schools will also be taking part in a Festival Recipe competition, sponsored by Thanet Earth and Tesco.

The Kitchen Theatre makes a welcome return as part of the Food Fayre event, with local master chefs, including teams from Thanet College, demonstrating their expertise.

The Festival is a wonderful opportunity to see, taste and enjoy some of the best produce from the Garden of England. The introduction of a Children’s Food Festival is a splendid idea and will be excellent for the schools of Thanet. I retain a close and strong connection to the Isle of Thanet with Broadstairs as a special place for me and I am proud to be associated with Thanet College which continues to go from strength to strength.
